How do I replace the front seperates speakers in the TSX

I could find a thread on replacing the front dash 1" seperate speakers in the 05 TSX. Do I have to take apart the dash? Since I am here....how about door panels. I'm sure there are threads already so links would be helpful if any of you know.

Front speakers pop right out when you pry them with a lil screw driver. Just did it. Very easy! Now gonna try the door panels after dinner.

Ok, just read the DIY door panel removal/speaker replacement. I guess we have to modify the car in order to use aftermarket speakers. That blows!

Yeah, but it's not that tough. As a rule of thump, for any spacer thicker than 3/4" you have to shave the mating speaker baffle on the plastic panel by that much. Also, be sure you center the new speaker exactly concentric with the old speakers so the baffle would line up correctly and don't interfere with your new speakers movements.

DUde, as one pinoy to another, have you read the damn DIY thread list? THis is all old news!

And as far as your spacer shaving stuff, Sol, WTF are you talking about? The OEM speaker is 1-18" thick with foam included. Compresses to about 1-1/16.

I did read the DIY list, didn't see a thread on removing the drivers side door panel still.
