how can i trigger the alarm with a wire?

Post how can i trigger the alarm with a wire?

i can only think of the dome light wire. any better ideas?

There are a couple of ways to trigger the factory alarm. One is to put a 12V pulse to the dome light wire. Another is to put a ground pulse to the hood sensor wire(behind grill). A last is if there is an additional instant trigger wire hooked into the alarm module. I don't have the wiring diagrams for the alarms so I'm not sure of the specifics.

I forgot one, on the Honda factory alarms they have ignition sensing so if you put 12v to your ignition wire for a second it will set off the alarm. This one is the last option if all else fails. (not really a good idea but it will work)

The is a wire that attaches to the latch on the front hood. This wire is hooked together with the trunk latch to sense when it is open. THe wire is open at rest.
