I had a Pioneer head unit installed in my 01 CLS like a year ago and the store had to create a dash kit since nothing was really available for our cars at that time. The bottom of the kit wasn't cut perfectly so there's a little gap that's noticable. How easy or hard would it be for me to replace that dash kit with the Metra one? Or is this something I should let a pro do?

 

as far as i know..the interior trim up front of the TL and CL are similar...

I performed this on my car 2 weeks ago.. I'd say it's relatively easy to do..and not something that i'd pay someone to do.. there are instructions at the acworld page..stickied in the A/V forum.. follow those instructions..
