Hooking up a game console in the car?

How do you do it? I'm looknig to get an in-car entertainment system going, I think I can figure out the car audio stuff, but I'm not sure how to run power to the game console unit (in this case, PS2). Any tips or suggestions?

Asainkidd did this for his PS2, you might want to seek his help. His AIM name is aSiAn kiDd 2

He should be able to help you out.

Just like my car computer...going DC-AC-DC is really power lossy and heat dissipating...not what you want But it is the simplest.

superdx:
I forget what the voltage of the PS2 is...I want to say 5V...but all you need to do is wire a Zener diode in that limits the voltage...and then a capacitor of say...5mF wired + into the line between the diode and the PS2 power input...and the - wired to ground. To find out the voltage...go get a cheap multimeter and measure it. Good luck
