hooked up my blitzsafe-like adaptor!
hooked up my blitzsafe-like adaptor!
ahhhh, no more static due to the POS fm modulator!!!!
after getting sick and tired of hearing static and trying to find a station where i could listen to my MP3 player static-free, i decided to get a blitzsafe. I ordered one from streeteffectz but since they were out of stock, they sent me a USA Spec adaptor that has 2 audio in/out jacks. I wasnt about to take apart my whole dash for one little plug in the back of the OEM radio so after reading that streetz installs them w/o removal, i decided to take my chances and just try to install it by removing the passenger side panel. After 20 min of cursing, I was able to plug it into the back of the radio! Funny thing is, i was about to stop for a smoke break and decided to just try to push it in one more time and what do you know, it just slipped into the pin connector like butter...no force, just simply a push. Now that is what i call luck!
anyway, after hooking up my MP3 player, the sound is SO MUCH BETTER! its pretty much CD-quality. I highly recommend getting one of these adaptors and yes, IT IS POSSIBLE TO PLUG THE ADAPTOR INTO THE RADIO WITHOUT REMOVING HALF YOUR DASH!
also, dont let the adaptor's description scare you, it DOES work with the 6 CD in-dash radio and i know this b/c i have one!
PS. thanks streetz for the adaptor AND for telling us it is possible to install it this way!
