hon/aux dmx v.2

i got and intsalled this new blitzsafe adapter (hon/aux dmx v.2) from logjam. i dont know if it is my adapter, or if it is the adapter itself, or if its my deck, but i got problems. basically when i have the navi pin hooked up to the adapter, i cant access the auxiliary channel. when i disconnect the navi pin from the adapter i can access the auxiliary channel.

if anyone has this problem or can solve it please chime in. i really hope that i dont have to taek out that storage bin and disconnect the navi every time i want to use the auxiliary port.

yup. after you restart the car a couple times you might not be able to flip through the cd functions.

the kind folks at logjam sent me a replacement blitzsafe hon/aux dmx v.2. i put it in my car and to my surprise, it did not work. after another phone call to jim at logjamelectronics, i received the PIE version with the y adapter. i installed it today and it works perfectly. so i guess that it was the blitzsafe product that did not work. all in allthe pie auxiliary input adapter and y harness cost about 150. its fifty dollars more than the blitzsafe, but it works.

the part numbers for the PIE auxiliary adapter is (P.I.E. HON03/PC-PIOX 2003-2005 Accord / Element / S2000-to-Pioneer CD Changer Interface/XM Tuner/Auxiliary Input Converter)

the Y harness is (PIE HON03-F/MM)

sorry i dont know how to post links

thanks for your time and beware of the blitzsafe auxiliary adapter

Well that's why mine is still sitting in the box. I'm just going to return it and get an eldude hookup later on. (That and my gf has my iPod)

to my understanding the hon/m-link1 v.2 is specifically for an ipod. i have not used it or tried it. there was a thread about it though.

i am a little weary of blitzsafe because i have read forrums about there non working products

i got mine last week, didn't work with the dvd player at all - got a loud electronic noise, but worked with ipod just fine. execpt, of course, that the car would selectively recognize the adapter. Got a rma last wednesday and am requesting a PIE adapter instead.
