Homelink/programming garage

i just got 03 acura cl type s and i tried to program my garage with the homelink. i went to their website, followed their instructions, etc. Did it couple times, but it would not work. Homelink would only close the garage, but it doesnt open. Anyone had this kind of problem?

My garage manufacturer is craftsman just in case.

Never had the issue.

But I always programmed it when I wasn't near the garage. Figured it was easier that way.

I always had issues with it and their directions. I got mine to work by not using the remote opener. I held the button on the homelink until it flashed, then went up and hit the learn button on the actual opener unit on the ceiling, then hit the button on the homelink again. After a few times it started working.
