Lightbulb HIDextra vs. Philips

Thinking about buying D2R 6000k for my 00 TL. Can anyone tell me the $100-200 difference between the $30 HIDextra bulbs and Philips $200+ bulbs?

Looking to buy one of these by the end of next week and need to know the huge difference and a real insight other than "you get what you pay for" because I have heard nothing but compliments from HIDxtra's lights, but am tempted to go either way on this subject. TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!

I asked this as a sub-topic to another thread and only got "you get what you pay for". So now wanted it to be the main topic and see what people think. Thanks for trying to shut me down instead of answering the question. Now please be nice and let other people answer.

^^It's also the correct answer. Those 6k bulbs will look nice for a year until they start to colour shift. If you want to see at night go with 4300k philips. Check ebay for better pricing on those.

Even if they only last a year though, wouldn't it still be cheaper in the long run to go with the HID extra ones?

The ones my supplier has last over 2 years and have a 2 year warranty if they fail within that time period. I don't deal with either company, none of my customers have had problems except 1 ballast going out and it was replaced via warranty.

Um, yes math says it would be cheaper

The question is, will the quality be the same? no

You can get the Philips D2Rs for $100 - $130/pair shipped from eBay

Heres the cheapest i found for a pair:

If these listed above are legit then they should last you 8 times longer than HIDextra. I think it's worth paying a little extra.

Dude I've been running 6k D2C's from ddmtuningdotcom for almost a year now and they look and work great. Best part? They were $10 for a pair plus shipping with a lifetime warranty. Check them out.
