Here is a picture of my amp/woofer.

As promised....

There is no sound as all when I start the car. It has a silent start up mode.

i'm assuming you already uploaded your pics to some photo host provider of some sort. what you do next is when you click the post reply, you will see an IMG button at the top. click on that then populate the field with the url or link to the photo.

It looks nice except for the panel covering the amp. They should have used gray carpet instead of jet black. It will look much better.

Kinda agree there. But remember, the panel covering the jack is the same black panel, so it does match overall.

Anyway. I am happy with it...

Who did your install? Did you run the sub off of the factory head unit? Did you replace the factory speakers inside the car?? I'm looking to do an install on my 2002 CL type s and i'm not sure if I should replace the head unit?

you'll get much better sound quality if you change your deck. How do you like that kicker square solo-baric sub? does it have nice clean bass or just real hard bass?

I had the chance to ride with eggplant for a few hours during my trip to seattle .... looks and sound are very very CLEAN. Vince, post some pics of the boost controller knob you have on your dash, again, very clean.

Fotis, thanks for the testimonials there.. Just a very simple, no nonsense install.

Don't have a functioning digi camera, but the bass control know is just that. A knob installed where on the panel where the cruise on/off is at.

The amp/sub was added to the stock system. I am not sure how he installed the amp/sub exactly. I am still running the original HU + speakers.

For me, I am happy with the sound for now. The fill in sound is amazing compared to the stock set-up.

Love the amp especially and the subwoofer is good. Not great. The advantage of my set-up is that I may add another 12" L7 down the road.

KingsFanPaul1 : my choices were down to the Polk Momo or the L7 Kickers. You have to be careful about buying for the L7 as it is a square sub so I secured a good price on the box first.

NoleCLS : You can change out the HU but you will have to change out the rest (speakers + amp). Apparently, oyu can change the speakers but also have to change the factory amp since the factory amp is weak. The HU can be changed but will be a custom (translates to expensive) install since I do not believe they sell an aftermarket panel.
