Help w/ HIDs
This isn't anything TL related.
I've been deciding to order one of those Philips HID kits
complete with balasts and igniters. Has anyone here done the Xenon lighting conversion on their other car(s)? I;ve visited several sites online and all seem to be helpful. I was just curious if anyone here has done this upgrade and if so, if anyone knows anything about it. I want to do this to a 93' Lexus ES300. I can get one for around $450.00. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.
P.S
Is there already a forum on this?

Guys, I think the TL's use Philips balasts BUT have OSRAM 9006 low beam light bulbs. Does anyone know if this is true? I love the way they shine! You can see a TL coming from a good distance. I like that.
TL's use philips ballasts and bulbs.
It's not recommended that you convert your ES300 into HID's unless the housing was originally designed for it.
The beam pattern no matter what anyone ever will tell you, will always be incorrect if the housing is not designed for it.
It's your choice, some retrofits have worked ok...but the majority have a disgusting beam pattern output incomparable to OEM. It's 450$ of money, if that's something not to worry about go for it.
I have an H4 'retrofit' on my 1st gen, the pattern is distinguishable but the glare problems are a no no. That's why I'm planning to customize my headlights to fix that error, which will cost more money, but satisfaction is paramount =)
Hopes that helps.
