Help with System Question

Ok I have a problem. I am wanting to get the following set up in my car:

Pioneer AVH-7500 DVD
Pioneer TS-AS6990R 5 way 6X9's
Pioneer TS-A640P 4 way 6 1/2's
2 JL Audio W6V2's
2 JL Audio 500/1 Amps
1 JL Audio 300/4 Amp

The guy I am getting the stuff from says that the best setup for that sub is to have 3 of them. I'm not to up on systems and what not so is this guy just trying to get me to buy more stuff from him or will this stuff not work well with each other?? Oh and does Pioneer have a new headunit coming out superior to the 7500?

I just figured I would need an amp per sub since the RMS on the subs are about 400. Was I wrong in assuming that??

I want to 2 just for the look. But I think I will go with the 1000/1 and then drop the ohms down to 1. Does that sound like a fix to my problem??

I personally would go Nicky's route, as I plan on doing so VERY soon...however if you want 2, as I mentioned, get the 1000/1 and you'll be set

What the guy means is the subs! JL W6 subs work much better in 3's. I had 2 12's in a CRX and then when I got my Tahoe I put 3 10's and couldn't believe the difference. Just the way JL works. Looks hot too if the setup is done right witht he subs. Hope this helps!

I've been hearing that JL is haveing problems with thier 1000/1s, I know two people had them blow up. I'd get the 2 500/1s.
