Hello All,
I have a 97 CL premium package and I am trying to find out what wires communicate and/or how the OE Bose deck communicates with the security system/remote entry. Is there a way to preserve the functions of keyless entry/security system with a aftermarket head unit? Any assistance on this would be super cool!!!

The stock security system is completely independent of the stereo, at least with the non-Bose. The security system brain is below the passenger's seat.

 

Absolutely you can remove the oem radio, the little red led that blinks doesn't mean jack in connection with the alarm.

 

+1 I have a alpine hu and factory bose bypassed. Alarm and red light on door works normally .

 

Hello everything is great with the keyless entry. Now I have a OE Bose CD head unit and amp for sale with key codes for sale. Any takers?
