Help -Portland OR-area TSX owners with stock audio!
Hi! If you live in the portland or area, and have a TSX with a stock audio system, I could use your help.
In about 10 days, I will have a new piece of test gear that can measure distortion, frequency response, and loudness pretty easily and accurately. While I know that these are far from all the measurements of good sound, they are what I cna work with at present.
What I need to do is to measure a few TSX stock systems (a couple nav and a couple non-nav) with test CD's playing. I am trying to quantify in an "objective" fashion some of the measurable changes that occur with an amp/speaker upgrade such as mine.
I'll be measuring my car first, of course, learning how to use everything... to make testing other cars easier. Figure I'll be able to test other cars in about 2 weeks. My assumption is that we would spend a Saturday morning testing and then I'd buy you lunch for your 30-45 minutes of time. Alternately, you could inherit a 12-pack of good Oregon beer, or a good bottle of red wine (if you're legal, of course).
Also, if you're curious, we could go for a test drive on the highway and I could measure your background noise. I am somewhat curious what effect my door damping installation had, and some with aftermarket mods may wonder as well. Totally up to you, though.
Anyone who's interested, please send me a PM. (Today's Friday, and I am leaving this evening to come back Monday night - 20th HS reunion. Don't be disappointed if I don't respond right away).
Thanks!
ElDude.
