Help with navi-dvd converter install

Help with navi-dvd converter install

i did a search and cant find the thread im lookin for.

I installed Doms navi converter and i got one problem, the picture does not hold. its flickering horizontally. Im pretty sure i saw the solution to that problem in a past thread but i cant find it now . i 2x, 3x checked the wiring and the ground but no luck. Any input appreciated, thanks

Did you install an in line filter? That may be the problem. I never had that problem installing mine because I put a power filter in line with the power wire before ever turning it on. I think that may be it.

Radio Shack $16 DCV noise filter!

mine did that too at first

my problem was i did not hook up the power or the ground for the converter, i forgot which one it was, but i figured i was not using it do it didn't matter, but it did

After 4 hours of going over every wire that was connected, in this crazy humidity too , i finally realized that the wire hookups in the instructional paper was wrong. . If anyone else has the same issue, make sure that the synchro wires (in and out from the D9 cable) are going into the same colored factory wires. I had originally thought i was having grounding issues

i know the seemed like they were written wrong, just took me a couple of times reading it over and over to realize what they were saying to do. the instructions are not written out clearly at all
