help installing power cable from amp to battery

help installing power cable from amp to battery

how do i run the power cable from the amp to the battery on a 2000 TL?

the amp is located in the trunk and i am running it through the side door panels up to the front dash. how do i get the cable to the battery?

firewall? any other way?

where is the firewall located?
how do i run it through the firewall? (cable is thick)

thanks for the help or ideas

Firewall is the wall forward of the cabin. There's a grommet above the gas petal that you can go through. More details on the link above.

u could also run it thru the side of the engine compartment above the fenderwell of the tire and into the cabin through the gasked behind the door hinge then down the doorsills.

i did that before, but isn't that a fire hazard

You ARE installing a fuse, right?

A lot less can happen to that wire in the inner fender space than in the engine compartment. Takes a crash to hurt it, the plastic inner fender material protects the wire (and the factory harnesses also in there: )
