help getting 6 RCA inputs from stock HU
This is mainly a question for elduderino, but anyone with an answer is welcome to chime in.
I have a 2004 TSX without NAVI and am adding 2 external amplifiers. One is 4 channel and the other is a class D mono amplifier. This requires that I have two sets of full range RCA cables and one set with only low-end frequency.
I will be doing the pre-amp output install here:
https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/instructions-install-shop-preamp-output-300209/
to get the two full range RCA sets, but I still need to get the low-end set for the class D amp. Does anyone have a good way of going about this?
Thanks for your input

What is the 4-channel amp?
You can run one set through the 500/1, but the fader will affect the bass channels.
What I would do is either:
1) run them into the 4-channel IF it has a mixed full-range RCA OP (the JL 300/4 does, for example). Then the 500/1 will make it bass-only with its internal xover, and you will have constant bass regardless of fader position.
2) Take the Front Left and Rear Right and run them into RCA "Y" adapters, splitting one to the 4-ch and one to the bass amp. Since you are using F and R, and L and R, to create your feed for the sub, even setting the fader all the way to the F or R, or balance all the way to one side or the other, will only cut your bass level by 3dB. Cheap constant bass regardless of fader position.

The 4 channel amp is an older (`98) model Alpine V12 amp. I cant remember the exact model number and I am at work right now.
I dont think option 1 will work for me because the alpine doesnt have any outputs other than the 4 full-range speaker outputs.
I will maybe give #2 a try, although since I am pretty sure I will keep the fader centered, the 500/1 may work ok also.
Thanks for the help and sorry for being impatient
