Help on aftermarket head unit

I'm considering to purchase Alpine CDA-9815 from another CL owner from this forum. Is this a good investment for 03 CL-S. I'm not ready to install any sub or amp for now. Will this head unit work with the steering wheel as far as changing tracks and volume. If someone has their setup with Alpine head unit, please show me some. Thanks!

It won't work with the steering wheel controls out of the box, but it will with an adapter like the PAC.

I would buy a custom dash kit from streeteffectz... I like that better than the off-tyhe-shelf dash kit.
