Ok, here's my problem...

I'm running an Alpine CVA-1006 head unit with an Alpine DVA-5205 DVD/CD player. Now the DVA-5205 is connected to a Zapco DA-II (Digital/Analog Converter) via an optical wire. My problem is this...when playing the radio or a CD everything works perfectly, the second I play a DVD I can view the movie but I get clipping on the DA-II causing minimal sound and major static. I tried using RCA cables instead and everything works perfectly but I lose the clarity from the optical wire so I'd rather not go that route. Does anyone have any ideas?

Never mind...I figured it out.
