Help with 03 navi
Help with 03 navi
sorry for the long post.
I have an 03 cl-s w/ navi and am having issues. the arrow doesn't move with the car, it often points in a direction off from the one i'm traveling in (i have repeatedly tried the location correction - it never works for more than 30 seconds), and sometimes puts me on the wrong street. i took it to the dealership on Sept 14th and they recognized that there was a problem. i left it with them all day and when i picked it up, they said they would order a part and call me when it got in.
i called last monday for an updated status and the service rep wanted me to go out to the car to read off the version number. they sat for almost a month without ordering me a part and then wanted to know what version i had. i read it to him and he said they would order the part and call me back.
called today and they still haven't ordered the part and want me to bring it in tomorrow.
kinda pissed off right now. the part the service rep said they were going to order was a "hard drive." does anyone know what this is?
it seems to me that the "gyro sensor" is probably what's wrong with the car b/c it doesn't sense when the car starts moving nor what direction its pointing in and lags behind as i'm driving.
i'm taking it in tomorrow but would like to have a better idea of what to tell the service tech about what is probably wrong since they don't have a clue. are the brains of the system in the trunk? is the display only a display and relay for the touch screen? i want to tell them to just replace the entire brain as it is obviously not working.
to top it off, the girl i spoke to today apologized and said they would fix it for free. i reminded her it was still under warranty and she said "oh."
