HELLO! New Acura Owner and Need help with Audio

Hi Everyone,
Im new to this place and I do not know much about car audio. I have an 800 watt 2 channel amp with a 12 inch MTX sub which I plan on installing soon. BUT, i also want to buy new speakers for my 4doors and the rear 6x9's. Do you think that the factory head unit will be able to handle all this wattage without any distortion and lack of power? I am not sure if I need another amp for the speakers, or anything else (I am not familiar with any other audio products ei. crossovers, blah blah blah...)? Any help would be nice... Thank you.

Oh yea, also what speakers would you guys reccomend?! I have read many posts and pioneer and other speakers have been mentioned. Since I will add a 12 inch subwoofer, i would like the best high's and mid's for the 6 speakers. PLEASE anyone that has installed new speakers, please give me your suggestions. :P

My suggestion is put all the gear in a closet and spend some time reading. If you don't know much about car audio, you will have a hard time deciding among various suggestions.

Reading through threads in this Audio and Electroincs section will tell you:

- How the factory system is set up
- What other TSX owners have done
- some brands you will never have heard of.

Then you can re-post, telling people your budget, objectives, and musical preferences.
