I think they are knockoffs of the Alpine monitor in appearance, and I think that they posted every single spec (viewing angle, contrast, resolution), but NOT brightness. Brightness is the single most important spec for any in-car LCD display, and with the level of detail that they have in the other specs, they cut-and-pasted this list out of the spec sheet of manual, and then DELETED brightness. So it must not be very bright.

Savv is pretty good. Myron and Davis, Directed, Icon, Rosen, are all pretty good.

High-Definition, Low-reflection TFT LCD, It's pretty good in the daytime too due to being non-reflective (my kids are not complaining) and I don't even have tinted windows.

I'm glad your kids like them. (The comments I was making was about the no-name LCDs, NOT the avv LCDs).

However, you used the term "high-definition", andI gotta throw a flag on the field on that one.

High Definition Television is specifically defined, and those monitors ain't it. Hell, I don't see HOW you can say they're high-def - upper OR lower case - when they have 234 horizontal lines. They're 1/4 VGA, like every other headrest monitor.

That's plenty good enough for many apps. But high def it ain't.

Tell that to savv.

I really don't care if it is high-def or not, I just cut and pasted it from their website.
