Has Anyone Connected Laptop/Notebook to HFL via Bluetooth and Play MP3?

So I purchased a new laptop with bluetooth installed, took it out to my '05 TL and sure enough the notebook paired with the HFL in the car. That was the easy step

I am trying to figure out how to transmit music/.mp3's from my laptop to my TL via bluetooth and have it play through the stereo system. I saw a post on here where someone connected their laptop to their Acura, but has anyone done this? If so how?

The next step would be to connect my ipod (i have the bluetooth transmitter for that as well) to the HFL. I would love to see the notebook connect first, because I am sure it would fit right into the glove compartment when I hit the road.

Any help is appreciated!!

Sorry, it won't transmit the right data objects. You're barking up the wrong tree.

yeah, as of right now bluetooth can't handle data such as music etc... however the new ipod's rumored to be coming out soon are going to have this capability. It will be using the newer Bluetooth 2.0 connection (not used yet in Acura's or other cars) and is going to be the new standard. Eventually, most if not all cars will have bluetooth 2.0 which will allow many new devices (ipods, laptops, other mp3/media players) to be sync'd up and allow music, videos, files, etc... to be shared with the car's speaker and/or video system
