Hardwire Radar Detector Fuse Panel

I know this topic has been covered, but It did not seem clear. I purchased the following hard wire kit:

I hooked up the C looking connector to a ground screw, and shoved the other connector into the cruise control fuse. What I thought would happen was when I turned on the cruise control button the radar would turn on and would turn off when I turn off cruise control. It stays on the regardless of position of cruise control button. I think I hooked this thing up wrong in some way.

on the fuse box there should be like four slots for you to hook up assesorys. one of them will turn on when the parking lights turn on and the others will turn on when the key is turned on

Thanks for the help. Are the slots located in front or the back of the fuse box?
