Grounding problem
hey guys i did an amp install on my car
now i have had a sub installed for about a year now
but on sunday i installed the interior speakers
set up
head unit
cda 9856 (alpine)
amp
kenwood kac 8302 (4 ch 800 pk)
speakers
kac 1690ie and the rear doors are kac 1661s
i plugged the rca cables in to the the back of the head unit
during the process of mounting the amp the rca cable hit the splitter of the power cord and i think it may have done something (just thought id add)
no if i change the b signal rca cable both speakers play (l/r)
but the front then only the r plays
so i knowits not the amp i think its the rca cable
anyway i digress
when i change between radio cd and ipod on my head unit i get a pop in the system. i thought it was because i grounded to the stock amp location so i changed the mounting point to the rear firewall as it wouldnt reach the other point i was at prior to the install
then when i drive i hear the rpms in the speakers
so i drive soundless
i can fix the rca issue but whats goin on with the ground sound im getting
my power cable and the rest are on opposite sides of the car
anything else?
