i think tweeter has too big of a markup on capacitors..what is a good one that i can get online? the tweeter price is 200 dollars for a 1 farad digital cap

 

I don't know the price on them but I use the Alumapro cap... I have a 15 farad, haven't had a single issue and I'm running 4 amps through it.

 

$200 seems a little high for 1 farad... but i would also recomment the alumapro caps.. i am currently running a 5 farad.. i got it off line for like $200... works like a champ..

 

Brax makes great caps. I have their 1 farad.

 

I have a Lightning Audio 1 farad. I think it is the Strike or Storm series. Has a digital voltage meter top. I am looking to sell if interested, make an offer.

 

cool..and how to you charge up a cap?

 

My cap has a charging block that you hook up to the top of the cap. You then hook a couple of wires attached to the block, one to positive side of battery, one negative until green charge light goes out. I have an offer of $40 shipped if anyone wants to beat that.
