Focal Utopia vs MB Quartz Q series
I'd have to go with the Utopia's. I have installed both of these in the TL, and although the quart Q's are awesome (much better than the regular line), I'd have to say the Utopia's are smoother sounding.

Hey don't be a hater. You know you love that stuff.
I lean towards focals myself. I heard MB Quarts at Sound Advice and then I heard Focals at this local installer. I was blown away by the focals. and this was ONLY the polykevlars .. the one model lower than the utopias. being a cost conscious chap, I ended up with polykevlars. maybe someday I'll hook up utopias.
Personally, I find the tweeter on the MBQuart set way to bright. I think the Focal's are slightly too bright too. Others in this range that I am familiar with are the Dynaudio, which I feel are a little too laid back. In my opinion the Rainbow Pro series are some of the best speakers I have heard. The tweeter is still somewhat aggressive but not too bright. The mid is really nice. However, speakers are a personal choice, if you have heard the MBQuarts and Focals then I hope you enjoy them.
One thing I will caution you on. I bought some Boston Acoustic Pros back in the day when I was first into car audio over 12 years ago. I thought they sounded phenomenal in the dealer showroom and listened to them on several occasions with different music. However, once I installed them in my vehicle, with all of the glass, they sounded WAY TOO BRIGHT. I installed them up in the a-pillar of the door near the side mirror so I know that had something to do with it. A kickpanel install might have evened things out a bit but that isn't where I wanted to put them. Something to think about if you think the Quarts and Focals are even a touch bright.

worth more than gold! at any rate, 1000 is retail. most places will hook u up for less .. at least 200-500 less. the markup on that suggested retail price is ludicrous.
