FM reception in TSX

Like a number of people on this board, I've discovered that FM reception in the TSX isn't that particularly strong. Does anyone know if it's possible to install some kind of amplifier to boost antenna reception? I'd welcome pictures if possible.

You already HAVE an amplifier, so I wouldn't add one on top of that - I guess you could replace the amp and see if it helps, but the R glass antenna is really the culprit. Someone here wanted to install a FUBA... never heard if it helped.

Maybe you need to listen to something other than Clear Channel.

I understand all of your complaints against FM, and yes, I do have XM. But there are still some great NPR stations around here, and unfortunately, the TSX seems far more susceptible to interference, multipath distortion, and "static" than my previous car FM. Thanks for the suggestions at any rate--looks like I'm just stuck with the glass antenna they've put in.

Hirschmann USED to sell an aftermarket version of the amplified in-bumper antenna used by Mercedes in some top models.

I'm confident that the FUBA type solution would work better because the roof would be the ground plane for the antenna.
