Floor Neon Install
I’m sorry I didn’t take pics when I did the install. But here are some very rough instructions and pics of the finished product.
1. First buy a pair of 6” tube neon lights. Cut off the power adapter…

2. Remove the center cubby from the dash.
3. The light attached to the center cubby is where you can splice the parking lights (make sure you get negative and positive correct).
4. (optional)I went a step further and replaced it with a Blue High Intensity LED (don’t forget a resistor if doing this step add a resistor to the LED unless you have a 12volt LED).

5. Mount the LEDs so they are not visible when they are off.. Sample of where

6. Plug in the lights to the power module and hid all cable behind the cubby.
7. Replace the cubby.
8. Enjoy your lights

Eurolite 6" Neon Tubes (Blue)
Brand/Model: TCI NG200CH

I bought another pair from Target for $22, but not really happy with the shade of blue (currently under the dash). I am soon going to replace it with the circuit city one.
I haven't tried the LED RainBow Tubes 7-Color LED Mini-Tubes for interior car accent lighting. I was thinking about ordering them to try them out. But I just don't want to waste $20.95 for a set of tubes I might not like. If you do order them let me know how they look.
LED lights generally have a spot light effect and I was looking for more of an even ambient light effect.

I bought these from SVC for $5.49 plus ship. They are for PC cases, but I did a custom install in my trunk and it works fine. Cars and PCs both run at ~12V so they are interchangable:

I am going to do a custom install for the floors also, just like what ortiz did, that looks really cool!

I mounted he two 12" tubes on the deck, behind the speakers. I then took the power from the existing trunk light. That took a bit of soldering and I had to take the light out to access the wiring. I wrapped everyting else in electrical tape and mounted everything with zip ties. Therefore, it turns on instantly when I pop the trunk, and turns off when I close it. I also placed the switch that came intot he tube in case when I want to turn it off, and put an inline automotive 5A fuse just for safety's sake.
Here is a picture from inside the trunk..you gotta stick your head in to see the wiring, or else the wiring is not visible, and the light would not be glaring.

I try going with the SVC blue light tubes for the floor and it was alittle too bright so I got some UVblack lights and are perfect for me at night. I just move my blue ones to the trunk and it helps alot back there.
