Fixing Ripped Subwoofer Surround...
One of my friends has a JL 10W6v2 Subwoofer, that developed a tear around the cone. There have been a few cases where this happens and JL fixes the sub and sends it back, but because the sub is past warranty, JL wants 200 dollars for it. I wanted to know if anyone knows of a shop that fixes subwoofer surrounds or any sort of adhesives that might work. thanks in advance, and here is a picture of the sub.
If it's in the surround and not the cone itself, you can sometimes do a garage job by sealing it with clear silicone caulking, FROM THE REAR, with your finger.

Mr. Neal responded to my email within hours and quoted me $35.00 to replace the foam surround!

thanks once again, elduderino for finding the link
i will keep everyone posted whether or not my friend goes down this path.
