First Post! HELP!!!

So i bought a kicker zx750.1 amp!

here are the specs~

Model: ZX750.1
Class: D
Power (watts) mono: 750 @ 2 ohms
Remote bass control: yes
Length (in., cm): 14-11/16, 37.3
Height (in., cm): 2-1/8, 5.4
Depth (in., cm): 9-5/8, 24.4
Frequency response: 25Hz-200Hz, +0, -1dB
Input sensitivity (high level): 250mV-10V
Input sensitivity (low level): 125mV-5V
Signal-to-noise ration: >95dB, a-weighted, re: rated power
Active crossover: 24dB/octave, variable 50Hz-200Hz, low pass only; 24dB/octave high-pass subsonic filter fixed at 25Hz
KICKEQ boost: Selectable to +12dB, centered at 40Hz 12dB/octave subsonic filter defeatable @ 25Hz

now i will be hooking up TWO 10inch woofers to this amp!

my choice of speaker selections were Kicker compVR's

now it seems like it comes in 2ohm or 4ohm~

can anyone tell me which ones i should get?
im kinda in the dark when it comes to audio!

thanks! and remember i will be getting TWO 10;s

I suggest dual 2 ohm woofers wired the right way would give you the final 2 ohm load you are looking for(check crutchfield.com or the12volt.com for wiring recomendations). Also being a past owner of Kicker comp VR's I honestly would suggest getting two 10" Alpine Type-R's, a better price and by far a way better sub. I have one 10" Type-R and I will never go back to buying Kicker again. Look into it. Good luck

I don't know if the CVR's are single or dual voice coil setup... but if its single, you'll need 2x dual 4's.. if they're dual.. 2x dual 2's to achieve a final load of 2ohms; giving you the most juice out of your amp.

here's how you would wire it given both variables

what made you choose the cvr's?
if i were in your shoes, i'd pick a single beefier 10 that can take the 750watts and put it in a proper ported enclosure. Something like a image dynamics IDMAX, SSA Icon, or SS RL-p. I have never been impressed by mainstream best buy/circuit city products; big companies is just out for the profit. JL is the only good mainstream brand when it comes to subs IMO, but there are many others out there more worth the money.

Not impressed with Rockford? I'm running a T110d2, and love it... Never heard any of the others that you suggested, but I wouldn't mind... As for JL, the prices always seem to high to me... But I do agree with you on 1 10 with a good enclosure...

Old school rockford punchs were good . Or the team rockford shit, but those are expensive and rare .

Havn't been impressed with any of their new models, esp. at the price they sell them at now.

Hype-R's is the only thing i'd get mainstream, and thats only because they can be had for about 80 bucks for a single 12, and they can get fkin loud. They won't sound too good though, but they get loud

I'm only speaking against the mainstream subs. I got nothin against their amps. the rockford T series amps look pretty saucy , as well as the alpine pdx series

on the pdx... Those things look awesome and put out lots of power for their size... I haven't heard them outside of like a Best Buy, but still impressive... And I wish I could afford a T series rockford amp... gotta love college bills...
