how many watts are they pushing.. i have a 1997 3.0 CL premium

i believe they are 6 1/2's in the front and 6X9's in the back... how much are they pushing?
i heard that there is a thing programmed into the headunit or somewhere that wont let it go above a certain wattage so that your amps will not blow??

Is it a Bose system? If it is you can e-mail Bose Customer Service and they should be able to answer your questions.
