finally got all my stereo stuff installed.

let me tell you one thing. getting 2 sets of 14 gauge wire through the boot in the door is a total pain in the @$$. i installed my diamond audio m6 components i got from acurax2, the are getting pushed by a DA d5300.4 amp which works perfectly. the rear speaks are infinity 6002i's work perfectly for rear fill. overall im very satisfied with the set up. the bass is there and sound a million times better than the blose system. now i just have to figure out how to pop my subs in the trunk with my amps.

trick we found out was run it through the car from the out side. so the wire is in the car. pull the boots out of the doors. shove a hanger from the bottom out to the top and fish the wires down that way.

why don't you all just catch everything at the factory amp. you can catch the door speakers, tweeters and rear speakers. its under the center pocket in the center console, you might be able to fit you crossovers in there as well. i fit my alarm brain and other comps. in there.

The wire coming out of the factory amp is only like 20-22 guage wire - he bumped it up to 14 guage to get the optimum amount of current transfer from the aftermarket amp to his new speakers, thus allowing his equipment to perform at it's peak level. If you tap on to the factory wiring and run 4 times the amount of power through them, you're going to loose A LOT of signal since the current can't flow as fast since the factory wires are so little - that and running new wires into the doors is just more professional IMO.

Just ran the wire through the boot on the pass. side door. Took me 20 minutes.
Coat hanger with an inch of the wire taped to the hanger, dip it in vasoline & lube up that hole in the boot slide it through. Once you get to the hole that goes into the car start bending the wire downward into the car; that was the hardest part.

I wouldn't use Vaseline. I think the petroleum in it affects the boot over time.
