Finally! Equalizer installed in a good location!
I have been contemplating/working on this project for a while now. There just didn't seem to be a good place to put my AudioControl Four.1. I didn't want to give up my "Not an Ashtray," so I had just wedged the EQ between the seat and console. Not a very good solution.
So, I bought the cupholder from the 6 speed.
Making the EQ fit was a little tricky...
But getting the new cupholder to fit in the existing console was the real trick. The new cupholder is much deeper than the original.
So I had to cut out a shitload of plastic with my dremmel.
Here are some of the left over pieces.
But, with some modification, I made it fit.
And then the EQ just slides right in. I used a cutout from a piece of rubber baseboard I picked up at Home Depot to make the small piece that fits around the EQ.
Now it looks great!
I'm so happy my Four.1 finally has a permanent home. And I can access the back seat without worrying about it too! Mission accomplished.

I just used some black rubber baseboard material I picked up at Home Depot. I then I used the Dremel to cut it to shape. It turned out pretty good actually, at least as good as getting a piece of plastic cut by a shop for $$$. I like my $1.50 solution better.
Here's the product, except black.
