Extremely Dissapointed

I bought a Diamond Audio CM3 Subwoofer. That I was gonna use in my TL and then decieded not to. Well I put in there anyways to see how it sounds and only one word can explain the sound reproduction SHIZT. I know CM3 is the botttom of the line sub but still, I did play $150 bucks for it. I contacted Diamond Audio on a refund so I will see what happens. Comp Vr sounds louder and cleaner than this. I am not using any bass boost and my gain is down hellla lot and it start distorting.

1cu ft sealed box with my Rockford 500bd wired at 4ohm so it gets 300 watts RMS. Its a dual 2 ohm woofer.
