Ever Changing Install Update
I just thought I would drop a quick note and update my latest list of installed equipment.
Alpine CDA-7893 (which is about to be replace with an Alpine IVA-C800).
Alpine CHA-624 Changer
JL Audio 300/4
JL Audio 500/1
Image Dynamics CXS52 fronts
Stock rears
Image Dynamics ID12 V2 Subs
I just switched to these subs this weekend. I did have a pair of Kicker 10"L7. I absolutely love these Image subs. The only require 250 watts each which is perfect for the JL 500/1. They sound incredible and will flat out rattle the teeth. The are a much better fit for the amp than the Kicker subs. The Squares are just so dang power hungry and I just did not want to spend another $300-400 on another 500/1 or 1000/1. I won a auction last night for an Alpine IVA-C800. It should be here by weeks end. I am also still waiting for my free head unit kit from Ron at Streeteffectz. He said that he is basically done but, he found a better material to make the pieces out of so, I am waiting until he can use the better material. I will have some picks of the new setup before long. The subs are in a big box firing toward the rear of the car. The amps are mounted to the front side of the box in between the box and the rear seats. I can still access the controls for the amps thru the skihole.
That's about it for now. Soon to come: Either an indash Alpine DVD player or the PS2. Also, thinking about something new for the front doors. I might go to a 6 1/2 that is a bit smaller than the ID 6 1/2. Maybe Boston Pro's. That one is a while off.
