error 1 what is that?

I searched through the forums and I think some people have had similar problems to me but there didn't seem to be a solution other then replacing the head unit. The same cds that use to always work now make the stock deck say error 1 and I have no idea how to fix it. This has been going on for awhile and usually all I do is hit random cds and it'll start going again. Is there any fix for this? I can't even eject my cds out. Any help would be appreciated.

The player is jamming. Only way to fix for good is to replace it. If you have warranty left it will be covered. If not I'm sure someone here or EBay can sell used ones cheap. Just make sure to get the radio code.

I remember someone on this board got it fixed at some stereo shop but I can't find that thread anymore. Is there any aftermarket decks that are 2 din and look stockish and will work well with the stock speakers?

well after searching more I found a few threads but my car is an 01 with 55k miles so I think im out of warranty. To be honest I would prefer not to have to get a new deck as I want to preserve the stock look so as I mentioned in my previous post what are some good stockish looking 2 din decks that are not very expenisve. Or has anyone found a permanet fix for this? I do have a mp3 player should I just hook that up via fm modulator or tape line in I really doubt a blitzsafe well be that much better through my stock setup.
