Eclipse Products?

Anyone deal with Eclipse car audio products? I would like any feedback on opinions, pro's, con's, etc. I'm looking into buying an Eclipse in-dash motorized screen - 6.5" screen, DVD, CD, AM/FM, MP3 player and an in-dash 6-disc changer. I just wanted to get some ideas before I make a big investment. Other products Ive looked at were Pioneer, Kenwood and Panasonic.
Thanks in advance.

finally i see a person with some taste in car audio... in my opinion eclipse is by far one of the best screens outs... and not to mention that they make some of the best equipment in the game... the eclipse unit has a easier gui then most of the units out and also has 8v preamp outs... if you have the money definately get the eclipse... eclipse is also the only other manufacturer that makes a 6 disk indash changer.. pioneer use to but i think they have discontinued it... and i had the pioneer avx-p7300dvd and had alot of trouble with it... i wanted the eclipse but didnt have the money...

eclipse, eclipse, eclipse... oh by the way which model are you getting the av8022 or av8132.... and the 6 disk changer is the 5061 right...

shawhite: thanks for the input.
I'm gettin the av8132 for the headunit and i think its the 5061 for the changer. There is a new headunit coming out this summer: 7" motorized, touch screen, etc., but the list price is a lil too high for me.

Anyone else with input, opinions or experiences with Eclipse or other makes?

I have the Eclipse 7002 indash screen in my MDX. It looks and sounds awesome. Simply the best sound quality in head units. I have mine linked to a 5083 12 disc changer and use a PS2 as video. My only complaint is that it would be nice to have it fully motorized but, that is not a big deal for the quality of this unit. I think Eclipse makes the absolute best head units in regard to pure sound quality.

Forgot to mention the picture quality is second to none. Off axis quality loses nothing. You can not go wrong with Eclipse.

You might want to hurry and buy the 6 disc in-dash changer since it doesn't look like it will be sold anymore. Eclipse has updated their website for the 03' linup and there is no mention of the 5061 or equivalent. If you can't find them in stores, then try ebay. They seem to have one available every now and then.

Ok, i made up my mind and ordered the Eclipse av8132 and the in dash 6disc changer (ch5061). I think I got a decent price for both pieces from a local shop that i've been dealing with for a few years. Hopefully, they'll be in by early next week.

how much for both of those... and i think you will be extremely pleased with your eclipse products.. the only grip i have about the 6 disk indash changers is that when you ejected burned cds with homemade lables they tend to get stuck.... no big problem just take a disk and press down on the stuck disk and it will eject just fine... but other wise i do not think that you could have picked a better group of products...

I ended up payin $2400 for both pieces. Not bad, since the list price of the 8132 alone is 2600. I'm also thinking about adding a TV tuner which isn't included.

Great choice FreDroRN. I think that you'll be very pleased with your decision. I'm awaiting delivery of the CD8053 head unit and an in-dash 6 disc changer. The anticipation is killing me right now!
