eclipse/clarion/kenwood?
I am planing on getting a new head unit. Must include monitor and build in dvd get up. I am thinking of 3 models. The new eclipse one that came out about a week ago that is fully motorized(not sure on model yet). The touch screen clarion (vrx925vd). Or the kenwood touch screen peice.(KVT-911DVD) Which would you go with. Believe it or not I do sound vague about my facts but I really have studied every detail on them and I think I am sold on the kenwood. Yeah....I had the same impresson of kenwood too, but it seriously seems like my best bet.

eclipse sounds better to my ears. eclipse has changed with no skipping at all. eclipse HU is my favorite deck. it's a high end deck but has no features like MP3 or XM radio. i recommend everyone go for eclipse if you want SQ.

I always have had the same opinion about eclipse, but the store has been dicking me around. Like changing prices, promising certain dates and still have not heard anything.

eclipse all the way but arent the eclipse decks usually expensive.... also eclipse make a 6 disc indash changer that would go really nice with that new tv unit they have..... that way you woundn't have to give up the luxury of the stock 6 disc in dash changer.....

eclipse is my choice for sure but around the eclipse have some very good deck out there like: clarion, nakamichi and two top the line SQ are denon and MCintosh. those two decks are very expensively. i don't even think to have one. clarion i would try it, i heard they're in car audio so many years and they make aewsome deck. nakamichi have alot the problems in there past and even now but they do SQ, so for me eclipse still is my favorite deck.

Clarion all the way!!
I've always had Clarion decks in the past and I am very impressed with the SQ from them. Usually bring out sounds(in a good way) that never get processed in my home CD player. I really don't have any experience with Eclipse, besides the fact that they have an ingeneous theft deterrant tchnology. And I have not been real impressed with the SQ of the few Kenwood decks I have heard. As far as the monitor and DVD functions of these decks, that's outta my league. My $.02.

I have the same dilema... I've been looking at the Eclipse,Clarion and the Kenwood models.
Eclipse 8132 looks nice, but probably expensive
as hell, and I dont think it has the touch screen feature.
I cant find a retailer which sells them...
Clarion VRX925 unit is nice 2, has the mp3 and touch screen, but I've heard is having problems with the roller mechanism, I cant confirm it though. I'll give their customer service a call on Friday to
find out if it's true or not...
Kenwood 911 has touch screen but doesnt have mp3, but a mp3 player could be hooked up to it through aux input,
or you can even hook up a digital media player KHD-CX910
which will work like a cd changer, only instead of cd's it stores 10 gigs of mp3's...
So far I am leaning towards the Kenwood unit but still am curious about the Eclipse and Clarion....

Wow, still stuck in the same boat just about. I really trust eclipse but the features of the kenwood may have it beat. Also the eclipse navigation sucks ass. You have to admit that. If i were to add that down the road. The kenwood navi is sweet.

Yeah, the navi on the Eclipse just has arrows pointing directions.
The only thing that really gets me with Eclipse unit is high voltage
output which is like 8volts, as compared to 4.5v on the Kenwood,
but even 4.5volts is plenty.
Do you know how the screensaver graphics are on the Kenwood?
