if i am changing the HU, but still using the stock speakers and SuB, do i still need to purchase a new AMP??

for a 2003 3.2TL?? i am getting lots of different informations here that i will lost the use of my sub?? is there any truth to this?

If u are gonna change the HU change the speakers and the amp. Also make sure you get a good quilty amp with the Eclipse becasue, of the 8 volt pre out.
