Question dynaudio q

i'm interested in the Dynaudio System 340, the problem is the 7" midbass. This is a 3 way system with a 7" woofer, a 3" mid, and a 1.1" tweet. Will the midbass fit in the door? Or should I forget the 3 way setup and get the System 220mkII. Thanks for the help,

Jason

I am wooking with the same thing pretty much. I have the Dynaudio System 240 for the fronts and will be getting the System 220 for the rears. The audio shop that I bought them from said they will fit with minor adjustment.

My 6.5" CDTs required a fairly large amount of metal to be trimmed out of the door.

I am putting Illusion Audio 8s in my doors. Anything is possible!

One thing about the Dynaudio 340 is that the 3" mid has a very wide dispersion pattern. Some people have found they don't like this once they get it in the car. Just warning you so that you listen to it before you purchase them.

3-ways in general have the potential to sound better but because they are more complicated than a 2-way, not everyone gets them sounding up to their full potential. Eventually, it all comes down to installation.
