Dynamating

Whats the best way to dynamat the trunk of a 2001 CL? Do I have to remove the speakers? If so, how do i do that? Also, how much dynamat do you think i need?

How much bass do u have? The best way is remove the trunk lining. Use Dynamat extreme and use the spray in corners.

JL W6 and still have rattling! Isn't that why you got a DUB6? I would be mad if I didn't have any rattling....I have alot of rattling, shit my car sounds like its going to fall apart soon. I am plan on tackling this project really soon, I will take out that third brake light if need be..

There is no best way. Just stick it everywhere you can. I have a 98 CL and have that 500/1 hooked up to a 10W7. Sure i still get rattles but i'd hate to hear it with out. Thats 60 sqft of Raamat. I'd like more to do the interior more.

Tightin the trunk does help alot. In the CL/TL take the plastic around the latch off and loosen those bolts holding the latch. Move it DOWN about a cm or 2.

and tightening the rubber stoppers so the trunk sits lower. Otherwise, I would start by at least dynamatting the trunk lide

One of these makes the quickest improvement

I always thought those were an invite for thieves, makes your car a little more noticable to thieves w/o even having to look inside...They already know you have something in your trunk or you wouldn't even need it. I plan on putting some dynomat on the plate itself and putting some weather stripping on that!

you dont have to use the licenses plate cover or what ever. all you can need is to buy a large amount of dynamat and cut it out to fit the licenses plates .. thats all really and buy weather stripping and put it on the licenses plate cover so it doesnt rattle the licenses plate with the cover .. simple as that ;]
