ok.....so i spent $120 on a dynamat trunk kit and the trunk still rattles like shit......i cant stand the rattle, it ruins the whole system and is a huge waste of money. i think it might be the trunk latch but idk how to fix it. anybody got any other solutions or advice??

 

do you have a spoiler?

 

Either a spoiler, or your trunk isn't sitting flush, you can adjust the rubber stoppers to let the trunk sit lower or higher, do you have a license plate on the trunk lid?

 

I got the same kit too, had it installed in most of my trunk and a little piece right behind the plate. No more rattling. Make sure you check the third brake light too. Tha freaking thing really pissed me off ( if you have a spoiler, the third brake light will be diconnected) so I put a piece of tape to made it stop rattling.

 

+1 on the license plate. The plate made a ton of noise before I added some on the plate and even the frame. lol. I also covered pretty much the whole trunk with sound deadener but I still cant get the spoiler to shut up.

 

Did you apply Dynamat to the underside of the trunk lid?

I dynamatted my entire trunk including the underside of the trunk lid and the spare tire bay. I only get a very small rattle from the license plate.
