DX6 Mod is design for easy installation which allow you get better sound out of those speakers without bypass the EQ, again easy installation, the new sticky on top of this section should cover everything you need, beside use the search you can find a lot of info about this sample upgrade.
Recently I just complete the installation of 2 pairs DX6 and Kicker RMB8 power by a Alpine MRD-300 Amp, it turns out much better than the stock setup, the kicker mid bass sub may not give you a lot of bass compare to my 10" Alpine type-s in a seal box but it is all depend on your own taste, a 10" sub just make my head hurt after listen to it about 10 minutes later........ Back to the subject if you looking for simple upgrade, small cost and improvement... I will say go for it, of course you can spent 2 or three grand for a custom setup than that will be a total different story.
I would like to say thank you for all the info I got from this site, especially Southbond on the dx6 mod and Dr.Cookie on the RMB8 install and of course everyone who done these upgrade and share all their knowledge. Thank you again. Now I am happy.
