I have a quick question I just bought the navi to dvd converter off the group buy, my question is can I simply use any dvd player or does it have to be some special type of dvd player meant for car use? Basically can I go out and buy a dvd player from best buy and be able to use it? Thanx for the help.

 

they have ones that are made specifically for cars. they have additional features that make them valuable like anti-skip and extra av inputs, some have tv tuners built in...

I have my PS2 in my car right now but I'm looking to get a mobile dvd player soon

How much do these dvd players run?

 

I installed it myself, it wasnt difficult at all. A little time consuming if you do it right and solder all connections, but not difficult

they range from the cheapest refurbished ones on ebay (~$89) to the top of the line Sony Models ($300-400+)

I was looking at the Pyle that has a built in TV tuner its only like $100 on ebay and its got nice features. plus ill get use out of it and if it breaks in a year or 2, no big deal cuz it was only $100

No not much just a system. Stock chromies, and i just havta install the comptech springs. Thats about it
