Double-Din Screenssssssssss

I wanted to know which of the double-din screens out there have the best Ipod integration?
Do the z2 and the d3 use the same Ipod interface?
I was also checkin out the alpine DD screen which seemed to offer the best, as far as searching for tracks etc.
How do these brands compare to kenwood and eclipse?

Mainly want the screen for ipod use, navi would be nice but not needed.

HELP ME OUTTTTTT

Pioneer has the best product by FAR.... The AVIC-D3 and AVIC-Z2 are the best double din NAV screens available right now. They use different iPod interface kits. The D3 uses the newer "high speed" cable while the Z2 uses the older module add on piece. This means that the D3 is faster with the iPod. My second favorite is Kenwood. While the DNX-7100 is garbage.... the DDX-6019 is freakin awesome. Very easy and the iPod connection is very good, but not as fast as the Pioneer D3. Alpine and Eclipse are my last choice for double din screens. Alpine seems to have a great iPod interface but has many problems. Alpine also fit's very poorly into any vehicle because the face is so thick. It sticks out. Eclipse is on the bottom of the garbage can. Poor iPod inteface. Poor cosmetics. Poor everything. Eclipse, or Fujitsu Ten, is a major OEM supplier. They are very good at OEM integration but horrible at aftermarket solutions.

what would be other differences between the kenwood and the d3? I like the fact that the kenwood is a 7" screen vs a 6.1

$800. You could probably find one cheaper on ebay.

The AVIC-D3 has NAVI built in. The Kenwood need the KNA-G510 add on for navigation.

The D3 is an all around bargain. I still love it. The ipod integration is tits, I would pay its asking price all over again if I could just get that level of integration into the TSX touchscreen.

i have the ddx 6019 with the g520 navigation and uncald4 double din and I love it. I was torn between the d3 and the kenwood but I thought it would get annoying to changing the dvd navi and a cd everytime I used the navi

You are right. Dom's Nav2go and the D3 video output. Easy.

That would be plety sick. I installed a Pioneer AVH-P6800 on an Infinity G35 Coupe with factory nav. I was able to pipe the Pioneer video into the OEM nav screen which was hecka DOOOOPE. 2 screens 1 cup.

I sent you a PM. I dig the progression of this thread. 3 months ago you were inquiring. And now you're basically complete. Make sure you post some pics and share your experience with the D3. BTW... I know a guy that makes some tastey custom subwoofer enclosures for the 2nd gen TL.
