It looks as tho the 1g has a double DIN radio bezel? Question here, has anyone installed a Pioneer AVIC (Navi) unit in a 1st gen? If so can you please provide pictures? Any trouble with the installation?

Also, what does the bose audio system include? Are there any benefits/reductions when using an aftermarket H/U? Do you loose any features?

I wish I were using a double din, but I'm using a single motorised. Someone else has a double on the boards, I think. Anyhow, unless you search on the board for my resistor trick, using an aftermarket HU will result in your ceiling-mounted mid-ranges not working, but other than that, a Metra wiring harness and you're set.

I'm sorry but the search function on here sucks and I can't find your resistor trick writeup. Can you please explain some more in detail or provide a link please?

Is Metra just your brand preference for the wiring harness or the only company that makes one for the 1G TL?
