Door speaker selection and how to run the wire?

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a good pair of door speakers. I have liked Infinity, so I have bought Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 and Kappa 60.5cs, but they both do not fit in my door unless I cut the metal. So I think I need to step back and try Infinity Coax 62.5 instead. Does this fit in the door just by cutting the rain basket?

BTW, I have Pioneer AVM-P9000R as the replacement of my headunit and drive speakers with Kenwood Excelon X650D, so the Bloze headunit with that weird EQ curves are not my concern anymore. (yay!!)

I have run 16 gauge wires to the rear doors, but just cannot do it with the front door because the rubber tubing to the door makes it too darn difficult. How can we run the wire in the front door? Any tricks?

Get some long zip ties and secure the speaker wire to them and try to fish them through the rubber gromets. It takes time and patience, but it can be done.

I have a Kenwood HU with the X650D and two sets of 60.5cs, and it rocks. Cutting the door is not that hard, just screw the metal frame that came with the speakers into the holes in the door and use that as your template..jigsaw the spots inside the ring and you're set.
Also when you zip tie to get it through, lube em up! I spent a long time trying to get it thru and finally got some liquid soap and it went right through without a problem.
