door rattle tip

i read on either this forum of club tsx from another member to turn your fade 2 notches to the rear speakers.
i listen to rap and like some heavy base, so i did it, and the bass was low, so i put it +6 and no front panels vbated, and it was a decent sound qaulity.
so thanks to the guy, id post it but i forget who it was.

Ya I've been using these settings since I noticed my rattles as well. Sometimes i even fade -3... but I still hear rattles in certain songs if its loud enough. Its definately MUCH better though because you can still have a decent amount of bass coming off the rear speakers.

Just fix it.

If the rattles really bother you just put dynomats in the door. I did that the second week I had the car and I don't have to make any fader ajustments with the bass at +6 and volume usually at 33...

... and I also listen to R&B and Rap.

Did you have a rattle problem before the dynomat though? Some have posted that dynomat wont help with the specific pass door rattle problem some TSXs have.

Slight rattle. But very annoying. Have not notice anything since the dynomat install.

THanks for the posts. Tried the fading 2 notches business and it works.

Doesn't it mess up your soundstaging? I would rather have a slight rattle than the music behind me. Maybe 2 to the back doesn't give much change.

There is a definate rear soudstage with the fader back. Although, it is less in the TSX than with other cars. Thankfully the rear 6x9s are not full range.

Speaking of soudstage, have you noticed how bad it is from the passenger side? The dash cluster really blocks the sound from the drivers side of the car.

That is a bummer. I'd like to make an upgrade if I can get some cash to do it, but there just aren't great options.

Never ridden in the car, but I do notice it from the driver's side to be one-sided, so I bet with the driver in place it's quite pronounced.
