Dont know much about speaker and audio

I am looking to get some more bass. I want more tighter and hard hitting bass. I am hoping to not have to get subs but just replace the rear deck speakers. In the mean time I do not want to sacrafise much of my volume in the mean time though. I was wondering what people here would suggest. I have found these that people have reviewed have great bass.

I am hoping to get some opinions of what others have done nd how the bass sounds.

Thanks

What are you trying to accomplish? Do you want better mid bass? or boomy bass? A sub only plays 2 notes so if you dont really need the DEEP notes then you dont have to get a sub. Most subs reproduces about 20% of musics, the rest are done mostly on your front speakers. My suggestion is to upgrade to some really nice 6.5s upfront and see how you like it. IF it doesnt produce enough bass then get some subs or upgrade the rear 6x9s, but some really good components up front sound like it would do you wonders.

Well Rap has alot of LOW bass so you might want a sub. Are you after SQ or SPL?

CC, I think those speakers will help but you probably will want to go to a subwoofer setup. You don't have to go crazy with the sub. You'd probably be happy with a single 12" box.

i also have a question kinda pertaining to this, i want moore bass and clean awesome looking set up, but im not sure if i should get one or two subs. as it is, an extra 100 for a second sub doesnt really make a difference to me, but what does is the asthetic look of the system. since i dont want to put my sub(s) against the back seats, rather in the corners across from eachother. i mean, i definitley think one sub would be enough power (alpine type r 12" off an mrd-m500 amp), but i could go ahead and get another sub and tun it off a mrv-f450 amp. i just want my system to look cool. so if anyone might have any pics of a tight one sub setup, please show me, i havent really been able to find any. the money really isnt a big deal seeing as i found a site with really good prices, i.e. $100 per sub..

Also, please remember you must have an amp to go with the sub. The sub won't sound good if not powered enough.

unless your willing to give the speaker the power it needs you won't get any sound.
