Disconnecting XM module for DICE unit

I just installed the DICE iPod unit into my 2007 TSX w/Nav. It took about 10 minutes using the directions here http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...47180540349552

However, I need to disable the XM in the car, since the XM is still playing when using the iPod in Sat/DICE mode.

I searched the forums and found that the XM module needs to be disconnected in the trunk and that it is behind the liner on the passenger side. However, I could not find a picture as to where the module is on the passenger side and I don't want to unnecessarily break any of those flimsy liner clips in the trunk.

So my questions are:

1. Is there a way to disconnect XM on the DVD player which has accessible plugs on the back?

2. Can anyone give me an approximation or picture of where the XM module is so I can turn off XM and use my iPod?

3. Is there any other way to disable XM without tearing up my car?

Thanks for any information.

1. No, not on the DVD player - the XM receiver is a separate module, and with Navigation, you need to plug in the original connector under the dash to the Y-harness, otherwise the Navi won't respond when you try to touch "OK" when you turn the key on.

2. The XM receiver is on the passenger's side of the trunk - to get to it, you'll have to pull back the trunk liner on the right side. In the image, "A" represents the plastic fasteners - pull them out evenly - I used two flathead screwdrivers and they came out without breaking. "B" represents to clips you'll need to pull loose.

The XM receiver is mounted facing the exterior of the car - you don't need to unbolt it, just reach in and unplug the big white connector "B" on the top.

Once you've done that, you should be all set. Make sure the dip switches are set properly for SAT/DICE mode, unplug the Dice unit and plug it back in so the new dip switch settings take effect, and you should have text support.

3. I don't know of any easier way to do this. I just mounted my Dice kit on the inside of the center console so I could get to the dip switches and replace the module easily if problems arise. Removing that center console was scary - I'm surprised I didn't break one of the plastic tabs!!

I picked up the i-Honda-R4 Gen2 (non-Silverline) kit and it didn't work for me - both XM and iPod would play at the same time in CD-C mode, and in SAT mode, it just sat there and said XM Loading no matter what I did. Dice sent me a replacement unit (Silverline) and it's working with exception to one really big annoyance.. every time I turn the ignition off and then back on, it toggles the Shuffle and Repeat settings. This really sucks when it gets stuck on "Repeat One." I'm going to call Dice on Monday to see if the replacement module needs replacing. One way or another, I'm getting iPod integration!

cwinterrowd, thank you very much for the pictures and the tip about the screwdrivers. I did try to yank the trunk liner up before your post but the clips would not budge, I figured I was going to have to break the clips and get a replacement afterwards. I am going to do this disconnection today, thanks again for the help.
